Playford and Son Ltd have been established since 1925 and is a highly regarded, reputable Electrical Engineering Contractor based in Cottenham.
The company has been providing services to both industry and commerce since its establishment and it is proud to be one of the oldest members of the NICEIC registering for enrolment on the first day of January 1957; the NICEIC having only been established in 1956.
Additionally, the Company is one of the oldest ECA Members and is on record as being one of the 100 oldest members of the Association having held ECA membership since 1933.
The Company has built upon its reputation as an Electrical Engineering Contractor and has changed ownership on occasion; since 1st July 2006 Playford and Son Ltd is under the ownership of HEDLEY 2000 LTD a Company based in Peterborough.
The latest change is bringing to the Company increased investment in personnel, equipment and financial backing in order to carry the Company forward for a further eighty years and set the Company up to become one of the largest independent Electrical Contractors in the region with ambitions to grow beyond this in the long term future.
The Company has an excellent pedigree and is able to deliver Electrical Installation
including Test and Inspection to the latest BS Standards including Hazardous & Potentially Explosive Atmospheres and Area Installations; the Company is very proud to have key personnel holding the Compex qualifications required in order to successfully deliver Electrical Installations in hazardous environments such as: -
