As a company that is continually looking for ways of improvement, we are committed to our quality management system and a customer focused culture. Therefore Playford & Son obtained registration of BS EN IS09001:2000 in April 2007 through BSI.

Quality Policy Statement
Playford & Son Ltd is committed to delivering and maintaining services and installations of the highest quality. To realise this aim, we have developed a Quality Management System which meets these needs and the requirements of BS/EN/ISO 9001 (2000) and which we will review for continuing suitability.

We recognise that the keystone to our success is our reputation and the professional satisfaction of colleagues and customers.

It is company policy that our procedures are fully implemented throughout the whole of the company. Any new employee to the company will be fully inducted into the use of quality systems and will be expected to adopt these at all times.

It is the responsibility of top management to set and review objectives and for these to be communicated to all company staff so they are able to understand, conform and contribute to this philosophy and all associated working practices.

ISO14001
Playford & Son are committed to our environment and are aware that we have a collective responsibility in ensuring we reduce the environmental impact we have. Therefore we are currently working towards building an Environmental Management System in order to gain registration of ISO 14001 through BSi.

Environmental Policy
Playford & Son Ltd, who install premises distribution systems cable related interconnection products and associated electrical installations, is committed to protecting the environment in which we operate. Meeting this commitment is a primary management objective and the individual and collective responsibility of all employees of Playford & Son Ltd and other interested parties, including Shareholders, Customers and Suppliers. In support of this commitment, we shall:

• Integrate environmental considerations into our day to day operations, plans and decisions.
• Maximise environmental performance by maintaining an ISO14001 environmental management system that establishes goals and objectives to review on a regular basis in order to drive continual improvement.
• Protect our environment by reducing the environmental impact of our activities and conserve our natural resources through specific management programmes for continual improvement aimed at:
• waste reduction
• reduce vehicle emissions
• reusing and recycling materials where appropriate
• responsibility managing energy use
• prevent pollution
• phasing out of CFC’s and ozone-depleting substances
• Acquaint all employees with this policy and train our employees so that they take personal accountability for their actions which impact on the environment.
• Comply with all applicable UK and EU environmental laws, Local Authority Regulations and Playford & Son Ltd’s corporate environmental standards.
• Take ownership and promote in as far as possible a positive environmental culture in the local community and beyond by selecting environmentally responsible suppliers and communicating environmental awareness to our customers.
• We will regularly review and improve this policy, communicate it to all and participate in regular discussions about environmental issues.
